ChadMe AI ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile app.

1. Face Data We Collect

When you use features such as Rate Me, Hairstyle Try-On, Glow Up, Tattoo Preview, Celebrity Match, or Body Check, you provide photos that may contain your face. The face data we collect consists solely of the facial photograph you submit. We do not extract, store, or create face templates, face prints, geometric maps, or biometric identifiers from your photos.

On your device, we use face detection (via ML Kit) to locate the face in the image for display and animation purposes only. This on-device detection data is ephemeral, stays entirely on your device, and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Face Data

We use the facial photos you provide exclusively for the following purposes:

• To generate AI-powered face analysis scores and trait-by-trait ratings (jawline, eyes, skin, hair, symmetry, etc.)
• To provide personalized improvement tips based on facial features
• To generate AI-powered style previews (hairstyle try-on, glow up visualization, tattoo preview)
• To find celebrity lookalikes by comparing your photo to reference images
• To display on-device face detection overlays during the scanning animation

We do not use face data for advertising, user tracking, facial recognition, building biometric profiles, training AI models, or any purpose other than providing the specific in-app feature you initiate.

3. Third-Party AI Services

To provide AI-powered analysis, ChadMe sends certain user data to third-party AI providers. Before any data is sent, we ask for your explicit permission inside the app. Here is exactly what is shared and with whom:

• xAI (Grok) — receives your facial photos and/or body photos for face rating, body analysis, first impressions, celebrity match, AI coaching, and most Vision features (hairstyle try-on, ascend visualization, tattoo preview, yacht, private jet). Photos are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS, processed in real time, and discarded immediately after the response is generated. xAI does not store, retain, or use your photos for model training.
• Google (Gemini) — receives your voice recording for the Voice Rizz feature, and receives your photo for the supercar Vision visualization. Audio and photos are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS, processed in real time, and discarded immediately after the response is generated. Google does not store or retain your voice or image data after processing.

These third-party AI providers are contractually and technically limited to processing data solely for the purpose of returning your analysis results. They provide equivalent or greater data protection standards as described in this policy.

We do not sell, license, or otherwise share your face data, voice data, or any personal data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third party beyond those listed above.

4. Face Data Storage

Server-side: Your photos are not stored on our servers or our AI provider's servers. They are transmitted for real-time processing and discarded immediately after the analysis response is generated. No face images are retained on any backend infrastructure.

On-device: Analysis results (text-based scores, tips, and advice — not the original photos sent for processing) are cached locally on your device to display your history. The original photos remain in your device's camera roll or photo library under your control.

5. Face Data Retention

Face photos are retained for zero seconds on our servers. They exist in server memory only for the duration of the API request (typically a few seconds) and are discarded immediately after the AI response is returned. We have no database, file storage, or archive that contains user face photos.

On-device face detection data (used for scanning animations) is ephemeral and exists only in memory during the active session. It is not written to disk or persisted in any way.

You can delete locally cached analysis results at any time by clearing your history in the app or by uninstalling the app.

6. Other Information We Collect

Voice recordings: The Voice Rizz feature uses your device's microphone to record and analyze your voice. Audio is sent to Google Gemini (see Section 3) for real-time analysis and is not retained after processing by either our servers or Google.

Device information: We collect anonymized device identifiers to manage app access, restore purchases, and prevent abuse.

Purchase data: We use RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management. Purchase records are retained for service operation.

7. How We Use Other Information

• To provide voice analysis and other AI-powered features
• To process in-app purchases and subscription management
• To improve our services and fix issues
• To comply with legal requirements

8. Permissions We Request

• Camera: To capture selfies for face analysis and style previews
• Photo library: So you can choose existing photos for analysis
• Microphone: For the Voice Rizz feature

9. Other Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share non-face data with:

• RevenueCat: For subscription and purchase management
• Supabase: For backend processing and account management
• PostHog: For anonymized app usage analytics

10. Other Data Retention

Non-face data (purchase records, anonymized device identifiers) may be retained as needed for service operation. You can request deletion of all your data by contacting us at support@chadme.app.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (HTTPS/TLS encryption) and at rest. Face photos are transmitted over encrypted connections and are not stored after processing.

12. Medical Disclaimer

ChadMe AI is a self-improvement and entertainment app. It is not a medical, health, or psychological tool. AI-generated results — including face ratings, body analysis, voice scores, and style suggestions — are fun estimates designed to help you track progress and feel more confident. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have concerns about your appearance or mental health, please consult a qualified professional.
